Leadership Presence: Focus and Direction

You live in a world of busy, busy, busy! So busy that you lose track of why you are doing what you are doing. The result: You become stressed out, burned out and pass this on to others (your team, your co-workers, your family….)

Does this make sense to you?

If you answer “no”, keep reading. If you answer “yes”, this blog post won’t make sense to you.

Western culture teaches you to achieve by know what others want. What are the rules? How can you win? Tell me what you need/want and I will do it. You can all achieve using this model, but at what cost?

If you choose to be a leader, there are three questions to ask yourself for greater confidence, focus and results.

1. What do I want? What is the vision fo your career, your family and your life?

2. What do you bring? What is the highest and best use of your time?

3. Where to from here? Based on your vision and talents, what do you need to
– Stop doing
– Start doing
– Continue doing

By taking time to proactively guide your life and your career, you can lead others from a place of focus and direction. What a gift to you, your co-workers and your family!
