Welcome to The Leadership Energy® Site!
I am delighted you are here! Let me ask you a few questions to help you get started.
- Are you a leader who has advanced in their career due to hard work and effort?
- Do you sometimes lack confidence as a leader, wondering if you are doing the “right” thing?
- Do you struggle to motivate and lead others for group success?
- Are you enjoy learning about leadership and desire new tools to expand your success?
If you answer “yes” to any of the above, you have come to the right place.
Let me tell you the story of two leaders…
Stephanie is a talented professional who has been in her career 15 years. Her career has encompassed several leadership positions, but she is continually passed over for the next “big” step in her career. From the outside, she is competent, achieves what is asked of her, and is respected among senior leadership as well as her peers. Internally, she worries that she will not meet the expectations of others. She wants to advance, but is frustrated that no one selects her for the next position. She questions what she needs to do to move forward.
Stephanie exhibits leadership skills. These include effective communication, managing her time, and creating positive accountability. Yet, she worries and lacks confidence in what she does. Until she deals with her worry and self-doubt, her leadership skills will not be enough to advance her career. The potential joy she would have in achieving her goals will be lost. (You can read more about Stephanie in my new book, Leadership Energy: Unlocking the Secrets to Your Success)
Daniel has a very strong desire to advance in his career to the Division Director’s position. He works tirelessly, sometimes seventy to eighty hours per week, and achieves great results. Although he has a team that reports to him, he complains that he has no one to whom he can delegate work. During his performance reviews, he consistently hears that he needs to engage and develop his team. He thinks he is helping to develop others people’s potential, but he is not able to connect in a way that brings out the best in his team. He assumes it is the company’s fault that they have hired people who can’t live up to his expectations.
Daniel demonstrates positive leadership traits. He is passionate, self-directed, and focused. While he knows he needs to develop and engage others, he struggles with understanding why what he is doing is not working for him. Until he understands what is blocking this energy to connect, he will also lack the effectiveness to advance his career. Do either of these sound like you?
Each of these leaders have unique strengths and blocks to their success as a leader. Until they understand, expand and shift the energies for success, they will remain stagnant in their confidence, focus and results.
The Leadership Energy Model® provides a new and unique way to make this happen. By going beyond leadership competences and traits, The Leadership Energy Model® opens and expands what motivates and energizes YOU. By addressing your core motivation and energy, you become the leader you want to be, experience the success you desire, and live a life in alignment with who you are.
